Diane Roberts is the artist who created the illustrated version of Buck the Buckle-up Dog for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department Traffic Safety Program. Beginning with Buck's logo on the coloring/activity book, to the illustrations on the story books, and posters, Diane has been inspired by input from the members of the Buck the Buckle-up Dog committee to produce the printed materials used to spread Buck's 5 safety messages to the children of Cumberland County New Jersey.
Diane Roberts is an internationally known portrait artist. Having studied Fine Arts at the prestigious Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, Diane is also a graduate of Canada’s St.Clair College where she earned a degree in Graphic Design. Diane Roberts' fine art commissions have included works for celebrities such as country music star Clint Black and NASCAR’s famed Petty family. Her works hang proudly in the Pentagon, the NJSP museum and alongside Norman Rockwell in the Boy Scout National Museum in Texas. Diane has most enjoyed the honor of completing many works of charity, especially her well known memorials for the N.J. State Police. In 2004, Diane completed 14 portraits honoring the 14 Troopers from NJSP Troop “A” who gave their lives in the performance of their duties. Her work entitled "The Outfit" was permanently etched in a granite memorial in Totowa, NJ that stands in honor of the 21 Troopers of NJSP Troop "B" who have died in the line of duty. She has also donated works to a number of organizations to help raise funds for charitable projects such as the Patriot Park veterans memorial in Millville, Alex’s Lemonade Stand (a charity for pediatric Cancer patients), and others.
